General FAQ’s

  • Q: What is included in the pottery workshop?

A: Our workshops include all the necessary tools, clay, and guidance from an experienced instructor. You’ll also have access to a selection of glazes for your finished piece.

  • Q: Where are your workshops held?

A: Our workshops take place in various venues. We strive to find accessible venues which not only cater food and drink, but have a lovely atmosphere. Common venues are Whitworth Locke (Manchester), Brewdog Restaurant (Manchester) and Revolution (Preston).

  • Q: What age group are your workshops suitable for?

A: Most workshops are suitable for ages 10 and above. Most workshops are tailored towards adults - because we need to play too! The age restrictions are usually dependent on the venue.

Making & Firing FAQ’s

  • Q: What can I make in a session?

A: Depending on the workshop, you can create anything from mugs and bowls to decorative sculptures. The instructor will guide you through different techniques.

  • Q: Will my pottery piece be fired?

A: Usually yes - The normal procedure for us is to have it as an optional extra (£20), so that the cost of the workshop is accessible to more people who want to join.

Currently I’m inbetween studios so my kiln is in storage - so until I announce otherwise, kiln firing options are currently unavailable.

  • Q: Can I take my piece home on the same day?

A: Yes! Currently, all workshops are using air-dry clay. You will be required to bring a small container to take your finished piece home in, a Tupperware or old cardboard box works great.

Booking FAQ’s

  • Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: We do not offer refunds, but if you notify us at least 7 days before your workshop, we can issue a voucher for a future session.

  • Q: Do you provide aprons?

A: Yes, we provide our colourful Clayful branded aprons. Pottery can be messy! We still recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting a little clay on (It washes off! :)

  • Q: Can I bring my own tools or clay?

A: We provide all materials needed, but if you have a specific tool you’d like to use, feel free to bring it along.

  • Q: Do you offer private events or group bookings?

A: Absolutely! We can host private workshops for birthdays, team-building events, and more. Contact us to arrange a custom session.
